West Kensington (WC) is mainly situated in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and just under 4 miles west of Charing Cross. The area is mainly residential, but is also famous for the Olympia Exhibition Centre and the Queen's Club at Barons Court which is the famous private members tennis club that holds the annual Queen's Club Championships lawn tennis tournament just before Wimbledon.
Earl's Court is to the east of WC and only 3 miles from Charing Cross. The area is famous for attracting travellers from all over the world especially from Australia and New Zealand and was given the name "Kangaroo Valley". Though recently has seen a boom in property prices and become more expensive, but still is an attraction for some travellers with it array of bars and restaurants. The area has been used for many film locations including the horror classic An American Werewolf in London (1981).
