Twickenham is the home of English Rugby and located on the River Thames about 10 miles south west from the centre of London in the borough of Richmond upon Thames. There has been settlements in the area since early Neolithic times (10,000 BC), the area saw rapid growth into a major suburban region in the 19th and 20th centuries, where houses replaced farms and common lands. Transport links are supported by many railway stations in the area including Twickenham, St Margarets, Fulwell and Strawberry Hill stations.
