COURIER ENQUIRIES

What can we collect and deliver?

From a single document to a load of lighter items, tell our office what you need to move. We will confirm item suitability, the vehicle and arrangements.

Documents and keys

Send signed papers, office keys or other small items to a named recipient. Arrange for someone authorised to release them at collection.

Everyday personal parcels

Enquire about an everyday parcel or a forgotten personal item. Tell us its size and how it is packaged, and whether a reception handover or safe place is needed.

Urgent business items

Arrange an office-to-office collection for an urgent business item. Tell us the company or tenant, the requested timing and who can release it.

W1F COLLECTION NOTES

Make the local handover clear

A W1F postcode alone may not identify the right handover. Give us the actual premises, entrance and person who can release the item.

Carnaby Street is pedestrianised. A collection may involve carrying the item between the premises and a permitted stopping place, so discuss the handover with the office rather than assuming a vehicle can wait outside.

  • Shared Noel Street workspace: identify the tenant, full address and exact entrance, and arrange a staffed handover with the named release contact.
  • Phonica Records, 51 Poland Street: say whether the item is an online order, an in-store purchase or a personal item held by staff. Obtain the shop's approval for a nominated collector and check packaging and any reference required.
  • Carnaby Street: identify the entrance and a ready contact. Check current signs and lawful stopping arrangements for the actual vehicle and date.

GOOD TO KNOW

Local handovers: quick questions

The right entrance and an agreed release help the office plan a practical collection.

What if the collection is from a shared Noel Street workspace?

Name the tenant or company and the person authorised to release the item, as well as the full address and actual entrance. Member access hours or mail handling do not establish that reception is staffed or the item is ready.

Can a shop release an item to your driver?

It can be arranged only if the shop agrees to release the specific item to the nominated collector. Confirm that it is ready and ask about packaging and any order reference. If a Carnaby directory listing differs from the retailer's own collection guidance, resolve it with the retailer before booking.

Where should the vehicle meet a Carnaby address?

Agree a practical handover using the exact entrance and a contact who is ready. Check current signs and vehicle-specific stopping arrangements; the item may need to be carried to or from a permitted stopping place. Do not assume a loading exemption or a wait outside.

HOW TO ARRANGE IT

From collection details to handover

Our office can assess the item, journey and handover, then provide a quote for the arrangement.

Send the full details

Give the full collection and delivery addresses, date and preferred collection time, item quantity, size, weight and packaging, and contacts for the sender and recipient. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Agree the arrangement

Say whether you are travelling with the items and whether you need help with loading, stairs or carrying. The office can discuss a suitable vehicle, assistance and quote.

Confirm collection and handover

Agree the release and receipt arrangements, including any access instructions or sender-authorised safe place. An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking: KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email.

GOOD TO KNOW

Courier questions

The details that matter before a W1F collection.

Are my items insured?

Goods-in-transit insurance is not included. If you need cover for your items, please arrange suitable insurance before collection.

Can the driver help with loading?

We may be able to arrange help with several lighter items if you call the office beforehand. Tell us the quantity, size and weight, any stairs or carrying, and the help needed so we can agree a suitable driver and vehicle. We are not a removals company; drivers cannot be assumed to lift heavy or exceptionally large loads.

Can I travel with my items?

Yes, or you can send them unaccompanied. Tell the office about the passenger and the load so we can agree a suitable vehicle and quote. Bulky or many-item jobs are assessed separately from an ordinary passenger journey.

Can you leave an item at reception or in a safe place?

Yes, if the sender authorises the reception handover or a specific safe place. Give the office clear instructions and contact details. If nobody can hand over or receive the item, discuss the arrangements before booking; waiting charges apply, including for lengthy unloading.

How much will delivery cost?

Ask the office for a current quote. The price depends on the journey and load, including whether the item is accompanied and any assistance needed. Waiting and other agreed charges may apply.

Can I track the driver?

Yes. Courier bookings include booking confirmations, live driver tracking, the driver's name and vehicle registration.
