BUSINESS DELIVERIES

Courier services for businesses Urgent and repeat deliveries

Send documents, keys and ordinary parcels between businesses, with or without a passenger. Contact our 24-hour office for a quote based on the item and delivery arrangements, or ask about a business account for repeat work.

THE SERVICE

Business-to-business item delivery

Arrange an urgent delivery of documents, keys, forgotten items or ordinary parcels from one business address to another. You can travel with the item or send it unaccompanied. Regular deliveries can be arranged through an approved business account, with terms confirmed by the office.

We quote for the item and journey, including any agreed extras. Loading and unloading waiting is chargeable. Our office will assess the load and confirm the arrangements and price before acceptance. An enquiry, quote or payment alone is not a booking confirmation: KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email.

PLAN THE HANDOVER

Plan a clear handover

Agree what is being sent, who can release it and where it should be handed over.

Contents and packaging

Describe the contents, quantity, size or weight and packaging. Medicines, samples, temperature-sensitive items, cash, jewellery, high-value goods, animals and other unusual or higher-risk contents need specific office assessment before acceptance; specialist handling is not automatic.

Sender authorisation

Identify the sender or booker and the person authorised to release the ready item. An authorised reception, agreed secure collection point or agreed key access can be used; an address or PIN alone does not authorise entry. If release fails, the office contacts the authorised person to agree waiting, rearrangement or cancellation.

Recipient and failed handover

Choose the recipient, reception or authorised safe place. If delivery cannot be made as agreed, the item is kept secure while the office contacts the authorised customer to agree paid waiting, another address or a return.

BEFORE YOU CONTACT US

Prepare your delivery details

Give the office the collection and delivery addresses, requested date and time, item count, dimensions or weight, packaging and any stairs, loading or waiting involved. Say whether the item travels with a passenger and whether either address uses reception. Some loading jobs and multiple non-heavy items can be arranged, but do not assume a driver can lift a heavy or exceptionally large load or that a two-person crew is included.

For repeat work, explain the usual pattern and ask about an approved account. Each delivery still needs a clear collection and recipient plan, including who can authorise changes and extra costs.

  • Give a named contact and the reference reception should expect; make sure the item is ready for release. Share sensitive access details with the office. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle booking information.
  • Confirm the recipient or authorised safe place before the driver sets out.
  • The booker or authorised contact should request material changes through the office. Acknowledgement of a request is not acceptance: wait for confirmation of the accepted change and any revised price. If a time-critical message is not acknowledged, call the office.

BEFORE YOU BOOK

Goods cover and the delivery arrangements

Goods-in-transit insurance is not included. Tell the office what you need to send, including the contents, packaging and any unusual handling, so we can confirm suitable arrangements before accepting the booking.

GOOD TO KNOW

Business delivery questions

Answers on unaccompanied items, handover, proof and repeat deliveries.

Can the item travel without a passenger?

Yes, an ordinary business item can be sent unaccompanied. Tell the office who can authorise collection and who will receive it, along with any proof or safe-place arrangement needed. The office confirms the accepted contents, packaging, route and price before the booking is accepted.

What happens if the recipient cannot take delivery?

The item is kept secure; it is not left at an arbitrary location. The office contacts the authorised customer to agree paid waiting, another address or a return. The accepted change and any revised price are recorded before the arrangement proceeds.

Will I receive tracking or proof of handover?

Tracking and named driver and vehicle details may form part of the agreed service. A photo, PIN or another proportionate proof of handover can be arranged; ask the office what you need. Not every delivery includes a signature, photograph or formal custody trail, and proof of location alone does not prove that the right person received the item.

Can regular deliveries use a business account?

Yes, regular deliveries can use an approved business account. Ask the office to confirm the account terms and the details required for each delivery. The sender, payer and recipient can be different people, but the authorised contact must be clear. A booking is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email.
