Heathrow drop-off guide Plan your departure.

Choose a quick terminal set-down or arrange parking if someone needs to go inside. Our 24-hour office can help plan your journey to Heathrow and quote for your date and requirements.

YOUR DEPARTURE

Set down at the terminal or park to go inside?

Start with your airline’s recommended terminal-arrival time, rather than the flight departure time. Then choose the arrangement that suits the help you need.

Quick terminal set-down

Each terminal has a charged departure forecourt for quick set-downs. Collections, waiting and leaving a vehicle unattended are prohibited, so a driver or companion cannot park there and accompany you inside.

Parking to accompany someone indoors

If someone needs to accompany you indoors, arrange parking separately from the set-down. Tell our office who will go inside and what help is needed. If you want a KB driver to provide an additional escort, agree its scope and any charge before booking.

TERMINAL 4

Terminal 4 needs a separate parking plan

Terminal 4’s multi-storey closed on 23 June 2026. Heathrow’s published park-and-meet option is Zone A Park & Ride, with a shuttle to the terminal. If using it, allow for that extra transfer when planning around bags or mobility needs.

Our office confirms KB parking and meeting arrangements separately for each Terminal 4 booking. Zone A is not a fixed KB meeting point; check the airport’s arrangements for your travel date.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Keep your departure plan up to date

The right terminal, arrival target and assistance arrangements make a difference to your departure.

Confirm your terminal and timing

Heathrow has terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. Check your flight’s terminal rather than assuming an airline always uses the same one. Heathrow recommends arriving three hours before an international flight or two hours before a domestic or European flight; check your airline’s own advice. This is your airport-arrival target, not your pickup time. If your flight, terminal or timing changes, ask the office to update your plan. A requested change is not in place until KB accepts and confirms it, including any revised charge.

Plan airport assistance separately

If you need assistance at Heathrow, arrange it with your airline or agent at least 48 hours before flying. Tell the KB office about the help you need for the car journey too; airport assistance and a driver escort are separate arrangements.

YOUR JOURNEY QUOTE

Getting a quote for your Heathrow departure

Your quote reflects the pickup address, travel date and time, terminal, vehicle and agreed extras. Send your full pickup address, flight number and airline’s terminal-arrival target; tell us whether you also need a return. Include your passenger count, suitcase and cabin-bag sizes, any bulky items or mobility equipment, and your preferred vehicle or space needs. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

An estate may suit extra luggage; for a group, ask about a six-passenger vehicle or enquire about a seven- or eight-plus vehicle. Passenger numbers and luggage must be considered together. Peak travel can affect the quote. Agree what it includes: the journey fare, airport access or parking charges, driver waiting and any optional escort charge are separate matters.

GOOD TO KNOW

Heathrow drop-off questions

Practical answers on mobility, assistance, child seats and waiting.

Can you carry a folding wheelchair?

Yes, we can carry folding wheelchairs, although we do not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles. Tell the office the folded dimensions, other luggage, boarding needs and any assistance you need so we can confirm a suitable arrangement.

Can the driver help me and my bags?

Yes. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free. Tell the office about your needs in advance so we can arrange a driver able to help. An additional escort to or inside a building, shopping centre or flat depends on the task and may carry a charge; agree its scope and any fee with the office before booking.

Can I request a child seat or bring my own?

Yes. You can bring and fit your own suitable child seat, or ask KB to supply one. A KB-supplied seat has a £3 offer for airport journeys and non-airport pre-bookings over £50. Local and short-notice requests depend on availability; for other bookings, check the price with the office. Give the child’s relevant height, weight and seat requirements, and confirm suitability, the number of seats and total charge before booking.

Does free meet-and-greet include waiting?

No. Free arrivals meet-and-greet for airport-to-home and airport-to-university journeys does not include unlimited free waiting. Ask the office about the applicable waiting terms and any airport parking or access charges. For collection after landing, see the Heathrow pickup guide.
