SCHOOL TRANSPORT · CR8

School runs from CR8 A plan for your child.

Arrange recurring school pickups from CR8 around your child's school, days and timings. Our 24-hour office will discuss the journey and provide a tailored quote.

FROM CR8 TO SCHOOL

School transport built around your routine

We arrange parent-booked school journeys from CR8 for mornings, afternoons or one direction, including selected weekdays, term-time travel and occasional cover. Tell us the destination school and the pattern you need; we will discuss the journey before providing a tailored quote.

Before the first run, our office agrees the collection, route, handover and support with the authorised booker. A booking is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email: an enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car.

YOUR CHILD'S JOURNEY PLAN

Agree the details before the first pickup

A clear plan helps everyone know where the child is going, who is responsible and what happens if plans change.

Set the route and routine

Share the CR8 collection address, destination school and exact entrance, days and timings. Tell us about communication, mobility, seating and restraint needs. We record the authorised booker, backup contacts and any role a parent or passenger assistant has. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle booking information.

Agree collection and handover

Agree a safe collection point and name the authorised receiving adult or organisation. The plan covers identity checks, verification of changed instructions, delays, a missing child, distress and no-recipient situations. A tracking invitation or PIN does not itself give handover authority.

Keep the office involved

The authorised booker or designated contact can request an absence or change through the agreed channel. Acknowledgment of a request is not acceptance: wait for confirmation of the actual revised arrangement. A same-driver arrangement is available on request; if a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office informs you and arranges a suitable approved driver.

If someone accompanies your child A parent can accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first when agreed. A passenger assistant needs a seat and an agreed role, so the driver can concentrate on driving.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD

Agree the right help for the journey

Tell us how your child communicates, what helps them feel comfortable and any boarding, seating, restraint or handover needs. We agree practical support for the individual journey rather than assuming that age or a diagnosis determines what is suitable. You can bring a suitable child seat or ask KB to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability.

You may provide a passenger assistant, or ask KB to source one. A PA can help with communication, supervision, boarding and handover; responsibilities, relevant checks and briefing must be agreed before the arrangement is accepted. Ordinary driver help is different from specialist care. Medication, lifting, personal care, physical intervention and specialist equipment support require an appropriate individual plan and competent arrangements; they should not be assumed.

GOOD TO KNOW

School transport from CR8: your questions

Answers to common questions about the schedule, school gate and handover.

Can I book selected school days or occasional cover?

Yes. Discuss mornings, afternoons, one direction, selected weekdays, term-time travel, occasional cover, clubs, exams or a changed finish time with the office. The agreed quote and booking confirmation set out the scope.

What should I tell you about the school gate?

Give us the full school address, named entrance and any access details that affect collection. School Street access or permission must be checked for the actual site; private-hire status is not a blanket exemption. We also need a safe, lawful collection point at the CR8 address.

Can siblings or another child share the journey?

Siblings can share a suitable plan. For children from different families, each guardian must consent to the route and change authority, while family-specific addresses, support notes and updates stay private. We agree stop order and handover cover before accepting the arrangement, including cover for children remaining in the car if a PA escorts one child inside.

What happens if nobody is at the handover point?

The driver keeps the child safely supervised, contacts the office and follows the agreed escalation plan; a child is not simply left because an adult is late. The plan covers the authorised recipient, delays and failed contact. Emergency services take priority in immediate danger.

How do I report an absence or changed finish time?

The authorised booker or designated contact can request a change by phone or app, or through the agreed contact route. Prior-day notice is encouraged and fees may apply under the agreed terms. The office confirms the actual accepted change and informs affected people; receipt of a request alone does not change the booking. For a time-critical request, seek acknowledgment and call the office if your message has not been confirmed.

A PLANNED SCHOOL SERVICE
