Plan around your child
Agree the route and schedule, communication and mobility needs, seating and restraints, and whether a parent or passenger assistant accompanies. A parent can also continue onward or be dropped off first if agreed.
PRE-BOOKED SCHOOL TRANSPORT
Arrange a recurring school journey around your child's school and timetable. Our 24-hour office will agree the handover and support plan and provide a tailored quote.
YOUR SCHOOL JOURNEY
We arrange morning and afternoon school transport from KT2, including one-way and recurring journeys. Tell us the collection address, destination school, exact entrance and timetable so our office can agree the arrangement and prepare a tailored quote. A booking is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS or email; an enquiry, quote or payment attempt alone is not confirmation.
KT2 identifies the origin area, not the school gate. If collection is near Norbiton station, give the actual address and a suitable meeting point. We will discuss a workable alternative if access is difficult; the driver must stop lawfully and safely. Tell us about any School Street restrictions so the actual access and permissions can be checked.
THE SCHOOL-RUN PLAN
We agree the journey, support and handover with the authorised person before travel.
Agree the route and schedule, communication and mobility needs, seating and restraints, and whether a parent or passenger assistant accompanies. A parent can also continue onward or be dropped off first if agreed.
Name the authorised adults and backup contacts. The child and receiving person are verified under the plan, and changes to authorised adults go through the agreed office route.
You can request the same driver. If a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and tells you. Tell the office about absences, delays or changed finish times; an accepted change is confirmed.
SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD
Share communication preferences, sensory triggers, boarding and seating needs and restraint requirements. Drivers assigned to our school service complete KB's school-transport induction and office approval, with a briefing on the agreed journey and handover plan. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle booking information.
A parent can provide a passenger assistant (PA), or ask KB to source one. Agree the PA's role in communication, supervision and handover while the driver concentrates on driving. Medication, personal care, weight-bearing transfers and physical intervention require separate competence and an appropriate individual plan.
Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags are available without charge; tell the office what help is needed so it can be arranged. A separate escort inside a building can be assessed and any cost agreed.
GOOD TO KNOW
Practical answers for planning your child's journey.
Give the full KT2 collection address, destination school and exact entrance, days, collection and finish times, and whether the journey is morning, afternoon, one direction or both. Include authorised adults, backup contacts and relevant communication, mobility, seating or restraint needs so the office can plan the journey and quote.
Yes. We can discuss selected weekdays, term-time routines, occasional cover and one-off journeys, including clubs, exams and changed finish times. The office agrees the scope and sends booking confirmation by SMS or email; an enquiry, quote or payment attempt alone does not confirm a booking.
Yes. A parent can provide a PA, or ask KB to source one. We agree the PA's role and the child's support plan before acceptance. Younger or unaccompanied journeys are assessed individually; there is no blanket arrangement for children of any age to travel alone.
The authorised booker or designated contact should request absences or changes through the agreed office route, including by phone or app. Prior-day notice is encouraged and fees may apply under the agreed terms. Receipt of a request is not acceptance: the office confirms the actual accepted change and informs those affected. For a time-critical change, seek acknowledgment and call if you have not received it; the change still needs the office's acceptance.
Changed receiving adults are verified under the plan. If an adult is late, contact the office; the child is not left alone and the agreed safe supervision and escalation plan applies. You can request the same driver; if a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and informs you.
Yes. You can bring your own suitable seat or ask KB to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability. Tell the office your child's age, relevant height, weight and restraint needs so the arrangement and any seat charge can be confirmed before travel.
FAMILIES AND COMMISSIONERS
We arrange school transport for families and welcome school or council commission enquiries. Our office will discuss the proposed schedule, handover and support requirements for the individual arrangement.
ARRANGE YOUR SCHOOL RUN
Tell our 24-hour office about your child's KT2 school journey. We will discuss the routine and support needed and provide a tailored quote; no app installation is required.
