School transport from KT22 A plan for your child

Arrange regular school pickups from KT22, with the route, handover and support agreed around your child. Contact our 24-hour office for a tailored quote based on your school and schedule.

YOUR SCHOOL JOURNEY

A school run built around your timetable

We arrange morning and afternoon school journeys from KT22, whether you need selected weekdays, a return or one-way travel. Occasional and short-notice enquiries are welcome too. You can request the same driver; if a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and informs you.

KT22 is the starting area, not a named school route. For a tailored quote, tell us the collection address, destination school and exact gate, days and times, and whether the plan is term-time. If more than one child travels, discuss the stop order and who is authorised to arrange the journey.

The office will explain the price and scope. An enquiry, quote or payment attempt alone is not a confirmed booking; KB confirms an accepted booking by SMS and/or email.

BEFORE THE FIRST RUN

A clear plan for every journey

We agree the travel, handover and support arrangements with the authorised booker before the first run.

Plan the journey

Agree the schedule and who travels, including any parent or assistant. Tell us about communication, mobility, seating and assistance needs, and provide emergency and backup contacts. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle booking information.

Agree the handover

Name the authorised adults or receiving organisation and agree the entrance and how changes are verified. A PIN or tracking invitation does not give someone handover authority.

Plan for disruption

Agree what happens if a child is missing or distressed, a recipient is unavailable, or a driver needs replacing. The office follows the escalation plan; a child is not left alone because an adult is late.

Extra support on the journey You can provide a passenger assistant, or ask KB to source one. We agree their role and seat as part of the child's plan.

SUPPORT AND ACCESS

Make the journey work for your child

Tell us what helps your child travel comfortably, including communication, boarding and handover needs. A passenger assistant can help with supervision and communication while the driver drives. A parent can accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first when agreed.

Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free when arranged in advance. Tell the office about any help needed so we can plan it; required disability assistance is not conditional on advance notice. KB has no wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folded chair carried as luggage is not a seated wheelchair position. Discuss boarding and seating with us.

Lifting, medication, personal care and specialist handling need separate assessment and suitable competence. If the collection door or private access changes, remain reachable: the driver must stop safely and lawfully. If walking to a different point is difficult, the office can discuss a workable alternative.

GOOD TO KNOW

School transport from KT22: your questions

Practical answers for planning your child's journey.

Can you arrange selected weekdays, one-way journeys or occasional cover?

Yes. Discuss morning or afternoon runs, one direction, selected weekdays, term-time or occasional cover, including clubs, exams and changed finish times. Tell us what repeats.

How do you identify the right school collection and entrance?

Agree the exact school gate and a practical stopping point with the office. Give us the named school, KT22 collection address and expected times; KT22 does not identify a particular school route. School Street or private access is not automatic.

Can I bring a child seat or ask you to arrange one?

Yes. Bring a suitable seat or ask KB to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability. Tell the office the child's age, relevant height and weight, and restraint needs; confirm the seat price with the office.

A folded wheelchair may travel as luggage where suitable, but not as a wheelchair-accessible position.

What if the child is absent or the school finishes late?

The authorised booker can request an absence or late-finish change by phone or app. Please give notice the day before where possible; fees may apply under the agreed terms. Receipt of a request is not acceptance: the office confirms the actual change when accepted. If a time-critical message has not been confirmed, call the office.

If a recipient is late, the child is not left alone; the office follows the agreed escalation plan.

OUR SCHOOL SERVICE

A supported arrangement, not just a pickup

We arrange school transport for families and welcome school and council commission enquiries. Drivers assigned to our school service complete KB's school-transport induction and office approval, with a briefing on the agreed journey and handover plan.

Siblings can share a suitable arrangement. For children from different families, each guardian's consent, route and change authority must be agreed, with family-specific updates kept private.
