Arrange school runs from SW14 planned around your child

Arrange a school journey to fit your child’s timetable, with handover and support agreed before the first run. Contact our 24-hour office for a tailored quote.

FLEXIBLE SCHOOL JOURNEYS

A school run built around your timetable

Arrange morning collection, an afternoon return or travel in one direction from SW14. We can discuss selected weekdays, term-time schedules and occasional cover, as well as a realistic stop order and return arrangement.

A parent can accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first by agreement. You can also request the same driver; if a suitable replacement is needed, our office will contact you.

BEFORE THE FIRST RUN

Agree your child’s individual journey plan

Our office works with the authorised parent or booker to agree the route, handover and support before travel. KB Cars is registered with the ICO. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Set the route and timetable

Share the exact SW14 collection address, destination school and entrance, days, times and preferred stop order. Tell us whether a parent or passenger assistant will travel, and what helps your child communicate, board, sit and travel comfortably.

Agree collection and handover

Name the authorised adults and receiving organisation, with backup contacts. Agree how the child and recipient are checked, how changed instructions are verified, and what happens if an adult is late or unavailable. The plan also covers delay, distress or a missing child; a child is not left alone while a handover problem is resolved.

Keep changes with the office

The authorised booker or contact can request absences and timing changes through the agreed office or app route. Acknowledging a request is not acceptance: the revised plan must be accepted and shared with the people who need it.

Need a passenger assistant? You can provide an assistant or ask KB to source one. We agree their role in the journey plan; medication, lifting, personal care and other specialist tasks require separately suitable competence.

LOCAL PICKUP AND SUPPORT

Make the pickup and travel comfortable

Mortlake station or East Sheen Library can help identify an area, but neither identifies your pickup point or gives permission to stop. Confirm the actual address and meeting point. If access is restricted or the door cannot be used, stay reachable while the office agrees a safe, lawful alternative with you.

Tell us about seating, restraint and assistance needs. You can bring a suitable child seat or ask us to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability; confirm any charge with the office. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags can be arranged without charge.

GOOD TO KNOW

School run questions

Practical answers for parent-booked school transport from SW14.

Can I arrange selected weekdays, term-time travel or occasional cover?

Yes. We can discuss morning or afternoon runs, one direction or a return, selected weekdays, term-time travel, occasional cover and one-off journeys. Clubs, exams and changed finish times can also be included in the discussion.

What should I confirm about the school entrance?

Give the school’s name, exact entrance or gate and intended collection point, and agree the receiving adult or organisation. A landmark is not permission to enter or stop. If access or a School Street may affect the journey, the office discusses the practical arrangement and applicable permissions with you before acceptance.

How should I report an absence or changed finish time?

The authorised contact can request a change through the agreed office or app route. Give notice as early as possible; prior-day notice is encouraged and fees may apply under the agreed terms. Receipt or acknowledgment alone does not change the run: wait for confirmation that the change has been accepted. The office shares accepted changes with those who need them. If a time-critical message has not been acknowledged, call the office.

Can I request the same driver or a passenger assistant?

Yes. You can request a same-driver arrangement; if circumstances require a suitable replacement, the office contacts you. You can provide a passenger assistant or ask KB to source one, with their role agreed for your child’s journey. An ordinary driver or assistant is not automatically qualified for clinical or specialist care.

QUOTES AND ENQUIRIES

Agree the arrangement with our office

For a tailored quote, tell us the route, days and times and any support required. An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking; KB confirms an accepted booking by SMS and/or email.

This page is for parent-booked journeys from SW14. We also consider school or council commissions, which have their own acceptance requirements; share the organisation and terms when you enquire.
