SCHOOL TRANSPORT FROM SW18

School runs from SW18 A plan for your child.

Arrange recurring school transport from SW18 around your child’s school, days and timings. Our 24-hour office will discuss the journey and support you need, then provide a tailored quote.

FROM SW18 TO SCHOOL

A school run built around your timetable

Arrange a parent-booked journey from SW18 to your child’s school, whether you need a morning or afternoon run, one direction or selected weekdays. Term-time travel, occasional cover, one-off journeys and trips for clubs, exams or changed finish times can all be discussed.

Tell our office the collection address, destination school and exact entrance, days and pickup times. We agree the route, handover and support plan before the first run. A family enquiry is separate from council eligibility or an existing school contract.

A CLEAR PLAN

Three steps before the first run

We agree an individual journey plan with the authorised booker before travel begins. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Agree the child’s travel plan

Discuss your child’s communication, mobility, seating and support needs, as well as backup contacts. A parent may accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first when agreed; a passenger assistant is another option.

Confirm collection and handover

Agree the meeting point and authorised receiving adult or organisation, and how identities and changes to instructions will be verified. The plan also covers delay, distress, a missing child or a missed handover. If no authorised recipient is available, the child remains supervised while the office is contacted and the agreed escalation plan is followed.

Keep the office informed

An authorised contact can request an absence or schedule change through the office or app. The office confirms an accepted change and informs those affected; receipt of a request alone does not change the booking.

A familiar driver when possible You can request the same driver for the school run. If a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and informs you.

SUPPORT THAT FITS THE PLAN

Support suited to your child

Tell us what helps your child travel comfortably, including communication, sensory preferences, boarding, seating, restraint and handover needs. A driver alone may not be right for every plan. A passenger assistant can help with boarding, communication, supervision and handover while the driver concentrates on driving.

You can provide an assistant or ask KB to source one. We agree responsibilities and suitability before accepting the arrangement. Medication, personal care, weight-bearing transfers or physical intervention need separately competent arrangements.

Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free; tell the office in advance to help arrange suitable assistance. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folded chair carried as luggage does not allow travel seated in it. You can bring a suitable child seat or ask us to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions parents ask about SW18 school runs

Practical answers for arranging your child’s journey.

Can you arrange selected school days or changed finish times?

Yes. We can discuss morning or afternoon travel, one direction, selected weekdays, term-time journeys, occasional cover, clubs, exams and changed finish times. The office records the agreed schedule and any backup arrangements before the first run.

Can you collect near Earlsfield or Wandsworth Town station?

Yes, if the proposed collection can be arranged safely and lawfully. Give the exact street address, entrance and any access detail rather than only the station name. A landmark or station address does not itself grant permission to stop or enter private access. Tell us the school entrance too, so any School Street access or permissions can be checked.

Can my child travel without me?

That depends on the individual travel plan, not age alone. An older child’s independent arrival or collection must be assessed, with authorised contacts and a safe response if nobody is available. If support is needed, discuss a parent-supplied or KB-sourced passenger assistant.

What happens if the usual driver or timetable changes?

An authorised contact can request an absence or change by phone or app; prior-day notice is encouraged and fees may apply under the agreed terms. Wait for confirmation of the actual accepted change: acknowledgment of a request is not acceptance. For a time-critical request, call the office if your message has not been acknowledged.

Same-driver arrangements are available on request. If a genuine problem requires a replacement, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and informs you.

YOUR ARRANGEMENTS

A planned and confirmed arrangement

Drivers assigned to our school service complete KB’s school-transport induction and office approval, with a briefing on the agreed journey and handover plan. We also welcome school or council commission enquiries, with arrangements considered for each commission.

Your enquiry lets us assess the plan and provide a quote. The booking is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email; an enquiry, quote or payment alone is not confirmation.
