SCHOOL TRANSPORT

School runs from TW12

Arrange a school journey around your child's timetable and handover needs. Our 24-hour office will discuss your route and support and provide a tailored quote.

A JOURNEY THAT FITS

Plan the school run around your child

We arrange school transport from TW12 for morning or afternoon journeys, one direction or both, selected weekdays and term time. Ask about one-off journeys, occasional cover, clubs, exams or a changed finish. A parent can accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first when agreed.

Same-driver arrangements are available on request for continuity. If a suitable replacement is needed, the office will arrange an approved driver and inform you. Drivers assigned to our school service complete KB's school-transport induction and office approval, with a briefing on the agreed journey and handover plan.

BEFORE THE FIRST RUN

Agree your child's journey plan

Our office agrees the practical plan with the authorised adult and, where relevant, the school or commissioner before travel. KB Cars is registered with the ICO. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Set the route and routine

Tell us the TW12 collection address, destination school and exact entrance, days, times and any stop order. Include your child's communication, mobility, seating and support needs, who will accompany them and backup contacts.

Agree the handover

Name the adults or organisation authorised to hand over and receive your child, and agree how identities and changed instructions will be checked. App access or a PIN alone does not authorise a different recipient.

Plan for changes

Agree what happens for an absence, delay, missing child, distress, no recipient or replacement driver. The authorised contact should request changes through the agreed office route; the office confirms accepted changes and informs affected people.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD

Agree the help that makes travel workable

Tell us how your child communicates, what helps them feel comfortable and any boarding or seating needs. A passenger assistant can help with communication, supervision and handover while the driver concentrates on driving. You can provide an assistant or ask KB to source one; the assistant needs a seat and an agreed role.

Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags are free when arranged in advance. Tell us what help is needed so we can coordinate it; required disability assistance is not removed by a lack of advance notice. Medication, personal care, weight-bearing transfers and specialist equipment require a separately agreed plan and suitable competence.

GOOD TO KNOW

School run questions

Practical answers for families arranging school transport from TW12.

Can someone else collect my child?

Yes, if the receiving adult or organisation and the checking method are included in the journey plan. Changes must be verified through the agreed authority route. If the expected person is absent, the child is not left alone: the office follows the agreed escalation plan and maintains safe supervision.

Can we arrange selected days or changed finish times?

Yes. We can discuss selected weekdays, morning or afternoon runs, term-time travel, occasional cover, clubs, exams and changed finishes. An authorised contact can request an absence or change by phone or app; prior-day notice is encouraged and agreed fees may apply. Acknowledgment of a request is not acceptance: the office confirms the actual accepted change. For a time-critical request, call if your message has not been acknowledged.

Can a parent or passenger assistant travel with the child?

Yes. A parent may accompany the child when agreed. You can provide an assistant, who remains your responsibility, or ask KB to source one. The assistant needs a seat, and their role, relevant checks and child-specific competence must be agreed before acceptance.

What if the school entrance has access restrictions?

We will agree a lawful, workable meeting point rather than assume the car can stop at the gate. Tell the office the exact entrance and any School Street or other access restrictions; private-hire status is not a blanket exemption. If the TW12 collection is near Hampton station, give the actual address and entrance too: the station name alone does not identify a school gate.

Can my child travel with a child seat?

Yes. You can bring your own suitable seat or ask KB to supply one when pre-booking, subject to availability and suitability. Tell the office your child's age, relevant height, weight and restraint needs so the arrangement and any charge can be confirmed before travel.

QUOTES AND BOOKINGS

A tailored arrangement, confirmed with you

Our office will discuss the route, timetable and support before providing a tailored quote. An enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a booking; KB confirms an accepted booking by SMS and/or email.

Families can arrange journeys directly, and school or council commissions are welcome to enquire under their own acceptance requirements. You do not need to install an app to contact the office.
