School transport from TW16 A plan for your child

Arrange recurring school pickups around your child’s timetable, handover and support needs. Our 24-hour office will discuss the journey and provide a tailored quote.

STARTING IN TW16

School runs that fit your timetable

TW16 is the starting area, not a fixed route. Arrange morning or afternoon journeys, one direction, selected weekdays or term-time travel. We also welcome enquiries for occasional cover, clubs, exams and changed finish times. A parent can accompany the child, continue onward or be dropped off first as part of the agreed plan.

Tell our office the destination school, days and timings for a tailored quote. Short-notice enquiries are welcome, subject to agreement. An enquiry, quote or payment alone is not a confirmed booking: KB confirms the booking by SMS and/or email.

BEFORE THE FIRST RUN

Agree the journey before the first run

We build an individual travel plan with the authorised booker and, where relevant, the school or commissioner. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Plan the journey

Share the TW16 collection address, destination school and entrance, days, timings and stop order. Tell us about communication, seating, restraint and support needs, and whether a parent or passenger assistant will travel.

Agree collection and handover

Name the authorised receiving adults or organisation, emergency and backup contacts, and agree how the child and recipient will be identified. Confirm the actual school entrance and any School Street access arrangements; private hire does not itself provide an exemption.

Plan for changes and disruption

Agree what to do if your child is absent, delayed, distressed or missing, if a recipient is unavailable, or if a replacement driver is needed. The office verifies changes through the agreed authority route; tracking or an app message alone does not authorise a new recipient or reroute.

SUPPORT AND CONTINUITY

Tell us what helps your child travel well

Tell us what helps your child travel comfortably, including communication, sensory preferences, boarding, seating, restraint, walking and handover. You can provide a passenger assistant (PA), or ask KB to source one. Agree their responsibilities for the whole journey, including supervision while the driver is driving.

Ordinary assistance such as guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags is available without charge. Driving and passenger support are different responsibilities. Medication, personal care, weight-bearing transfers, specialist equipment or physical intervention require an individual plan and relevant competence before acceptance. Request a same-driver arrangement if continuity matters; if a replacement is needed, the office coordinates a suitable approved driver and informs you.

You can bring a suitable child seat or ask KB to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability. Discuss your child’s seating and restraint needs with the office.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about school runs from TW16

Practical answers for planning and managing your child’s journey.

Can I arrange only selected days or changing finish times?

Yes. Discuss morning or afternoon journeys, selected weekdays, term-time travel, one-off cover, clubs, exams or changed finish times with the office. Share the timetable you know and request an update when the school plan changes.

What collection details should I give for a TW16 school run?

Give the full TW16 collection address and actual meeting point, plus the destination school and its entrance. Kempton Park Rail Station is on Staines Road East, TW16 5AE, and Sunbury Rail Station is on Station Road, TW16 6RZ; either can help identify an area, but neither establishes a school gate, route or permission to stop. Agree the actual entrance and any access arrangements with the office.

What happens if the usual adult cannot receive my child?

Tell the office so a change can be verified through the authority route in your child’s plan. Name authorised receiving adults in advance; app access or a PIN alone does not authorise handover to someone else.

If an adult is late or a code fails, your child is not left alone. The driver maintains safe supervision, contacts the office and follows the agreed escalation plan.

How do I report an absence or change?

Request the change through the agreed phone or app route. Prior-day notice is encouraged and fees may apply under the agreed terms. The office can acknowledge receipt, but that is not acceptance: an accepted-change confirmation must show the actual schedule or booking change.

For a time-critical message, call the office if it has not been confirmed.

YOUR ARRANGEMENTS

School journeys for families and commissioners

We arrange school transport for families and welcome school or council commission enquiries. Drivers assigned to our school service complete KB’s school-transport induction and office approval, with a briefing on the agreed journey and handover plan.
