SCHOOL TRANSPORT FROM TW9

A school run that fits your family

Choose morning or afternoon journeys, selected weekdays, term-time travel, occasional cover or a one-off run. We can discuss a one-way journey or a return, and a parent accompanying the child, continuing onward or being dropped off first when agreed.

TW9 is the starting area, not the destination school. Tell us the collection address, school and actual entrance, proposed days and times, passengers and any return plan. We will discuss your child’s support and handover needs and provide a quote for the arrangement. KB Cars is registered with the ICO. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

BEFORE THE FIRST RUN

An individual journey plan

We agree the practical arrangements with the authorised booker and, where relevant, the school or commissioner.

Set the timetable and pickup

Agree the TW9 collection point, destination entrance, days, pickup times and any return or onward journey. Tell us about access restrictions so we can agree a safe, lawful stopping point.

Agree the handover

The plan names the authorised booker and receiving adults or organisation, backup contacts and how changed instructions are verified. Driver and vehicle details and supported PIN checks can help identification, but a PIN alone does not authorise a different recipient.

Plan for changes and disruption

The plan covers absence, delays, a missing child, distress, replacement drivers and what happens if no authorised adult is available. The authorised contact requests changes through the agreed office route; the office confirms accepted changes and informs those affected.

SUPPORT THAT FITS

Agree the help before travel

Tell us how your child communicates, what helps them feel comfortable and any boarding, seating, restraint or handover needs. A passenger assistant can help with boarding, communication, supervision, agreed responses to distress and handover while the driver concentrates on driving. You can provide an assistant or ask KB to source one; we agree their responsibilities and passenger seat in the individual plan.

Medication, personal care, weight-bearing transfers, specialist equipment and physical intervention need specific competence and arrangements before acceptance. We can arrange guidance to the car and loading a folding wheelchair as luggage without charge; tell the office about the help needed so it can coordinate a suitable arrangement. KB does not have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so travelling seated in a wheelchair is not available.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about school runs from TW9

Practical answers about the journey, support and changes.

Can you arrange a part-week or occasional school run?

Yes. We can discuss morning or afternoon journeys, selected weekdays, term-time travel, occasional cover, clubs, exams, changed finish times or a one-off trip. Tell the office which dates and times are fixed and which may change.

Can a parent or passenger assistant travel with the child?

Yes. A parent may accompany the child when agreed. You can provide a passenger assistant or ask KB to source one. The plan records their role at collection, during the journey and at handover; an assistant is not automatically suitable for every specialist task.

What happens if the child is absent or school finishes late?

The authorised booker or contact can request a change by phone or app. Please give prior-day notice where possible; fees may apply under the agreed terms. Acknowledgement of a request is not acceptance: the office confirms the actual accepted change. If a time-critical message has not been confirmed, call the office.

If an adult is late or a code fails, the child is not simply left alone. The agreed plan provides for safe supervision, office contact and appropriate escalation.

Does the TW9 postcode identify the school entrance?

No. TW9 is the starting area, so give us the destination school and the actual entrance or gate. Tell the office about access restrictions so a safe, lawful collection and handover point can be agreed. A private-hire booking does not automatically permit access through a School Street.

Can we request the same driver for regular runs?

Yes. Same-driver arrangements are available on request. If a genuine problem makes a replacement necessary, the office arranges a suitable approved driver and informs the parent.

Can we use a child seat?

Yes. You can bring your own suitable seat or ask KB to supply one by pre-booking, subject to availability and suitability. Tell the office your child’s age, relevant height, weight and seat requirements; it will confirm the arrangement and price.

Can children share a school run?

Yes. Siblings can share a suitable arrangement. For children from different families, each guardian must consent and the route and change authority must be agreed. Family-specific updates and personal details remain separate.

YOUR ARRANGEMENT

From enquiry to confirmed journey

We arrange school transport for families and consider school or council commissions. Our office will discuss the individual plan and quote for the agreed schedule and support.

An enquiry or quote is not a confirmed booking. KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email. You can contact the office without installing an app.
