WORK TRAVEL THAT FITS

A practical plan for each shift

KB Cars arranges regular private-hire journeys from TW10 to work, whether one person travels or staff are collected from several addresses. Our office can help plan the collection order, workplace arrival and a suitable vehicle for the passengers and luggage.

We can discuss night shifts, changing rosters and cover, as well as office or client journeys and extra stops. Choose a fixed return or discuss the options when a finish time is uncertain. You can contact the office without installing an app.

PLAN THE FIRST RUN

From TW10 collection to the return journey

These details help the office plan the journey and provide a suitable quote.

Set the route and arrival target

Give each TW10 collection address, the workplace address and entrance, the shift date or pattern and the required arrival window. Mention any access or walking needs.

Plan for the passengers

Share passenger numbers, names or agreed identifiers and your preferred collection order. Include luggage, vehicle preferences and the authorised coordinator. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle booking information.

Agree the return and changes

Say whether the finish time is fixed, approximate or only known when the shift ends. Agree who can request roster changes and how passengers will receive confirmations.

If the finish time moves The office can compare booking when ready, reserving a driver to wait, or arranging a separate approximate return. Each has different availability and cost considerations; see the late-finish answer below.

PRACTICAL DETAILS

Identify the right workplace entrance

At a large site, give the building and entrance as well as the address, and agree a safe, lawful meeting point. For example, Ham House and Garden is listed at Ham Street, Ham, Richmond, Surrey, TW10 7RS. The address helps identify the destination; it does not grant permission to enter or stop there.

Ordinary bookings can be paid by card or cash; the office will confirm the payment route. Organisations can also apply for an account: acceptance is required before credit is available. At approval, agree authorised bookers, passenger communications, billing and credit terms. Monthly billing is offered, and account jobs receive operational priority and a contact.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about staff journeys from TW10

Answers on changes, returns, site access and assistance.

Who can request a roster change?

The booker or a designated authorised contact can request changes. Businesses can agree coordinator-controlled changes or allow approved employees to request them; being a passenger does not automatically authorise extra account charges.

A request or acknowledgment is not acceptance. Wait for the office to confirm the accepted change and any revised charge; for an urgent change, call if your message has not been acknowledged. A repeating schedule does not mean every journey has changed after one message.

What if the shift ends later than planned?

You can contact the office when ready, reserve a driver to wait and return, or arrange a separate approximate return. A ready-call is subject to availability and does not guarantee immediate collection. Reserved waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms.

For a separate approximate return, contact the office if you are delayed; waiting or changes may affect the cost. A separate return does not automatically retain the outward car or driver.

Can you collect from a large or private site?

Yes, a collection can be planned around a suitable lawful meeting point. Give the full address and the relevant building or entrance; a venue address does not give permission to enter or wait on private land.

The driver must stop safely and lawfully. Stay reachable if access changes, and tell the office if a revised point is difficult to reach so a workable alternative can be discussed.

What support should we mention before travel?

Tell the office about limited walking tolerance, entry needs, a carer, luggage or a folding wheelchair so suitable arrangements can be discussed. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair can be arranged without charge; planning ahead helps the office coordinate the right help.

An optional additional escort inside a building can be arranged separately, with any cost agreed for the task. Transfers need separate arrangements. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folding chair travels as luggage where suitable, rather than with the passenger seated in it.
