FLIGHT DELAYS

Flight delays and changed arrivals We're here to help.

Flight tracking helps us plan your airport collection. If your arrival changes, our 24-hour office can review the journey and confirm any accepted changes; a different airport or destination may need a revised quote.

ARRIVAL CHANGES

What happens when your flight changes?

We track arriving flights to help plan your collection, and airport-to-home and airport-to-university bookings include free arrivals meet-and-greet. Tracking cannot tell us when you have cleared immigration, collected your bags and reached the meeting point. Let the office know when you are ready, or contact us if you cannot find your driver.

If a flight is delayed or diverted, or your onward plans change, the booker or authorised contact should ask our office to review the arrangement. A different airport, terminal or destination may require another driver and a revised quote. Extra stops and changed connections also need office acceptance. We send confirmation by SMS or email when a change is accepted; a request or acknowledgement alone is not acceptance.

Free meet-and-greet does not include all airport parking or unlimited waiting. Applicable waiting and parking charges are separate; ask the office about the terms for your collection.

WHAT TO DO NOW

How to request a change

Contact the office as soon as you know your plans have changed. We can review the collection and any onward journey with you.

Share the updated details

Give us the flight number, airport and terminal, new arrival details, collection and onward destination addresses, passenger and bag details, and a reachable contact. If the flight is diverted, tell us the new airport. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Explain any onward connection

For an airport-to-airport or station connection, give both legs, terminals and train or flight details, your expected ready time and the onward check-in requirement. If disruption makes the connection doubtful, the office can review whether and how the transfer remains useful.

Wait for acceptance

The booker or authorised contact should request the change and agree any new time, stop, terminal, vehicle or destination and revised charge. The office will confirm an accepted change by SMS or email. If a time-critical message has not been acknowledged, call the office.

Need to change it again? Contact the office with the latest details. Your driver can coordinate during an accepted journey, but material changes must reach KB for review and office confirmation.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about a changed arrival

Find out what tracking can tell us, how diversions are handled and what to do about a connection or destination change.

Does flight tracking show when I am ready to meet?

No. Flight tracking helps the office plan around your arrival, but it does not show when you have cleared immigration, collected your bags or reached the meeting point. Let the office know when you are ready, and contact us if you cannot find your driver.

What if my flight is diverted to another airport?

Contact the office as soon as you know the new airport and your onward destination. We can review the revised journey, which may need a different driver and a revised quote. Rerouting is not automatically free; the office must accept and confirm the change.

Can you guarantee my onward flight or train?

No. A road transfer cannot guarantee an airline or rail connection, baggage transfer, security priority or airside assistance. Give the office details of both legs, the relevant terminals, your expected ready time and the onward check-in requirement so we can assess the transfer. You remain responsible for your onward airline or rail arrangements.

Can I ask the driver to change the destination?

Ask the office through the booker or an authorised contact. Your driver can coordinate during an accepted journey, but a material change is not a new direct booking. The office must review changes to the destination, stops, vehicle or terminal and confirm any accepted change.
