STAFF AND GUEST TRAVEL

Christmas-party transport Plan the journey home

Arrange travel to the party and an agreed late return, whether guests are leaving together or heading to different addresses. Contact our 24-hour office for a quote based on your journey and arrangements.

A PRACTICAL PLAN

Plan your arrival and return

KB Cars can arrange one-way journeys, separate returns, multiple collection or drop-off addresses, wait-and-return travel and hourly hire. One organiser can discuss the plan for colleagues or guests, including additional vehicles where needed.

For a useful quote, tell us the date, venue, arrival time, collection and return addresses, passenger numbers and any luggage or assistance needs. If the finish time is uncertain, our office can help you compare the return options.

GROUP VEHICLES

Choose space for your group

Six-passenger vehicles are our standard group option. Ask the office about seven or eight-plus passengers, or about using additional vehicles for a larger group. Passenger numbers and luggage need to be considered together.

For a flexible evening, hourly hire reserves a car and driver for an agreed period. Your quote sets out the reserved time, included mileage and agreed extras; waiting during that time is included. Ask the office about extensions.

CHOOSE YOUR ARRANGEMENT

Plan around the evening

Choose an arrival plan, a return arrangement and a meeting point that work for your guests.

Arrive by a set time

If guests need to be seated or checked in by a particular time, give us the venue and required arrival time. We can discuss collection points and separate journeys for guests starting at different addresses.

Return when the party finishes

Contact the office when ready, reserve a driver to wait, or agree an approximate separate return. The right choice depends on your plans, availability and the agreed waiting or change terms.

Use a clear meeting point

Agree a meeting point and make sure the organiser and guests know where to meet. If a passenger and driver cannot find each other, our 24-hour office can help.

VENUE AND STATION DETAILS

Choose a practical meeting point

Give us the exact venue, building or room if relevant, and the event entrance. A driver needs a lawful place to stop; crowds or road closures may make a nearby meeting point more practical. If a revised point is too far for a passenger to walk, the office can discuss an alternative.

For guests connecting by rail, tell us the station and what they can manage on foot. North Sheen platforms are not step-free and no lifts are listed; Mortlake has step-free access to all platforms, though routes may involve long or steep ramps or streets. Station access does not itself establish a permitted pickup point.

GOOD TO KNOW

Christmas-party transport questions

Answers to common questions about group arrangements, returns and passenger needs.

Can one person organise different journeys for the group?

Yes. One booker or designated primary contact can discuss several collection addresses, separate return destinations and additional vehicles. Passengers can share their own details, but the authorised contact must request material changes through the office.

A request or acknowledgement is not acceptance: wait for the office to accept and confirm a change, including any revised charge. A booking itself is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email; an enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car.

What should we agree if the finish time is uncertain?

You can contact the office when ready, reserve a driver to wait, or agree an approximate separate return. A car arranged when ready is subject to availability and is not guaranteed immediately. Wait-and-return involves chargeable waiting under the agreed terms; a separate return does not automatically retain the outward driver or vehicle.

If the party overruns, the authorised contact should reach the office to request a change. Waiting or changes can affect the cost, and the new arrangement needs to be accepted and confirmed. If a time-critical message has not been confirmed, call the office.

How do we choose a pickup point at the venue?

Agree the exact site and entrance, rather than relying on the postcode alone, and identify a lawful stopping point. Crowds or closures may mean a different meeting point is needed. Tell the office if anyone cannot walk far so a workable alternative can be discussed.

What passenger or luggage details matter?

Tell us how many people are travelling and the number and sizes of suitcases or cabin bags, along with pushchairs, folded wheelchairs, unusual items and any assistance needed. Passengers and luggage affect vehicle suitability together; an accompanying carer also needs a seat.

When arranged in advance, guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free. If an escort inside a building is needed, discuss the task and any charge with the office. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folding chair travelling as luggage is not the same as travelling seated in it.

Plan transport with the office

For a single ordinary journey, use the separate journey quote option. The office helps plan groups and multiple vehicles.
