GROUP TRAVEL

Small-group travel and 6-seater minicabs Travel together

Travel with family, friends or colleagues in a standard six-passenger vehicle. For seven or eight-plus passengers, ask about a larger arrangement or several cars. Our 24-hour office can quote for your journey and vehicle needs.

YOUR GROUP JOURNEY

The right plan for your group

Our standard group option is a six-passenger vehicle, available around the clock. Passenger numbers and luggage must be considered together. For seven or eight-plus passengers, ask the office about a larger vehicle or additional cars; these arrangements are on request.

We arrange passenger journeys for airports, rail connections, cruises and longer-distance trips, as well as celebrations, events, family visits and business travel. University visits, graduations, hospital appointments with companions and remembrance gatherings can also be discussed. This is passenger travel, not self-drive van hire or a removals service.

WAYS TO TRAVEL

Choose how the group travels

From a single journey to different pickups and returns, the office can help you agree a practical arrangement.

One group, one journey

Travel together to a station, airport, event or other destination. Several collection or drop-off addresses can be included in the plan.

Several cars or stops

For a larger group, different starting points or separate destinations, ask about additional vehicles and the route for each car. Separate cars are not guaranteed to arrive together.

A return that suits your plans

If your finish time is uncertain, compare booking when ready, a separate return, wait-and-return or hourly hire. Waiting and extensions follow the agreed terms.

PLAN WITH THE OFFICE

Details that make the arrangement work

Give us the full collection and destination addresses, date and times, passenger count, suitcase and cabin-bag counts and sizes, pushchairs or unusual items, and any extra stops. If people travel in different cars or return separately, tell us who is travelling together and when each part of the group expects to leave. For children, you can bring a suitable child seat or ask the office to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability.

For events, tell us the venue and relevant entrance or meeting point, and name the organiser or authorised contact. Let us know about walking, entry or assistance needs so we can discuss a workable meeting point. If access changes or a proposed pickup is not suitable, the office can help agree a safe, lawful alternative.

GOOD TO KNOW

Group travel questions

The details that help you choose vehicles, returns and assistance.

Can you arrange more than one car for a larger group?

Yes. Six-passenger vehicles are standard; seven or eight-plus arrangements and additional cars are available on request. Tell the office how passengers and luggage should be divided. We will confirm the agreed vehicle arrangement, but separate cars should not be assumed to arrive at the same time.

What if we do not know when the group will finish?

You can book when ready, arrange a separate approximate return, reserve a driver for wait-and-return, or discuss hourly hire. A car booked when you are ready is subject to availability, not guaranteed immediately. For a separate return, contact the office if you are delayed; it does not automatically retain the outward driver or vehicle, and waiting or accepted changes may affect the cost.

Waiting on a wait-and-return is chargeable under the agreed terms. Hourly hire reserves a vehicle and driver for an agreed period, with waiting within that paid time; ask the office about any extension.

Who can change a group booking?

The booker or a designated authorised contact can request a change through the office, including a new time, address, stop, passenger list or vehicle. The office will confirm whether the change is accepted and any revised charge. Acknowledgement of a request, including one passed to a driver, is not itself acceptance of the new arrangement.

What should we tell you about luggage or assistance?

We assess the passengers and combined luggage together and confirm a suitable arrangement rather than relying on a generic bag allowance. Tell us the passenger count, bag counts and sizes, pushchairs, folding wheelchairs and unusual items. An accompanying carer needs a seat too.

Describe any walking, entry or assistance needs. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair can be arranged without charge; telling the office in advance helps coordination. An optional escort inside a building is assessed separately, with any cost agreed. Clinical care and weight-bearing lifting are not promised. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folding chair travelling as luggage does not mean a passenger can travel seated in it.

BOOKING YOUR PLAN

From quote to confirmation

The office will discuss the journey, vehicle arrangement and price, including any agreed extras. Larger or bespoke group plans may need an office quote. An enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car: your booking is confirmed when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email. You can contact the office without installing an app.
