A practical work journey

Travel from TW1 to work, planned around your roster

KB Cars arranges regular work journeys from TW1, whether staff leave from one home or several. Discuss early starts, late finishes, changing rosters and return options with our 24-hour office. You do not need to install an app to arrange travel.

Our office can quote for the actual addresses, timing, vehicle and agreed extras. An enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car: KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email.

Plan the arrangement

Build a workable staff journey

Give the office a clear outline so it can agree an arrangement for your staff and shifts.

Set the addresses and shift

Give each full TW1 collection address, the workplace destination and entrance or reception, the shift dates and the required arrival time. For several homes, suggest a pickup order.

Name passengers and coordinator

Share the passenger count and who is authorised to coordinate the booking. Include any vehicle preference, assistance needs or unusual items so the office can discuss a suitable arrangement.

Plan changes and the return

Explain roster exceptions, who can send urgent changes and whether you want an approximate return, a ready-call or a driver to wait. The office can discuss the options and applicable charges.

Choose a clear meeting point

Identify the exact TW1 pickup

TW1 alone is not enough to identify a pickup. Give the full address and building entrance or reception. If meeting at a station, distinguish Twickenham station on London Road, TW1 1BD, from St Margarets station on St. Margarets Road, TW1 2LH.

A station address identifies the location, not permission to stop or enter. The office and passenger can agree a safe, lawful meeting point; tell us if an alternative point would be difficult for someone to reach.

Ordinary journeys can be paid for by card or cash. Employers can also enquire about an account: the office reviews and accepts it before credit is available. Monthly billing and credit terms are agreed on approval.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about staff travel from TW1

Choose how staff are collected, how changes are authorised and what happens after the shift.

Can one plan cover several collection addresses?

Yes. The office can discuss collecting staff from different addresses and whether they should travel together. Give each address and passenger, your preferred pickup order, the work entrance and required arrival time. The number of vehicles and bookings will depend on the accepted arrangement.

What if a shift or passenger list changes?

The booker or authorised coordinator should ask the office to change the affected journeys, giving the relevant new dates, times, addresses, stops, passengers or vehicle details. Acknowledgement of the request is not acceptance: the change remains pending until KB confirms it and any revised charge. One passenger's message does not automatically change the whole roster. For an urgent change, call the office if your message has not been acknowledged.

Should the return be booked for a fixed time?

Not necessarily. You can agree a separate approximate return, contact the office when the shift ends, or arrange for a driver to wait. A ready-call is subject to availability, while reserved waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms. If an approximate return is delayed, contact the office; waiting or changes can affect the cost. A separate return does not automatically retain the outward driver or vehicle.
