PRE-BOOKED PRIVATE HIRE

Kingston station transfers To and from your train

Pre-book a drop-off or collection with our 24-hour office. Get a quote for your journey and agree a practical meeting point; no app installation is needed.

YOUR STATION JOURNEY

Plan your journey to Kingston station

Kingston station is on Wood Street, KT1 1UJ. For a departure, tell us when you want to arrive at the station, not just when your train leaves. Allow time for the station approach and getting to your platform; our office can discuss your drop-off point.

For a collection after your train, agree a separate ready time and meeting point with the office. Short-notice enquiries are welcome, subject to availability.

CHOOSE YOUR PLAN

Departure, collection or return

Choose the arrangement that fits your train and how certain you are of your return time.

Going to the station

Give us your collection address, train departure and preferred station arrival time. Tell us which entrance you can use so we can discuss a lawful drop-off point.

Arriving by train

Share your service origin, scheduled arrival and expected exit. Agree a realistic ready time and meeting point with the office, allowing for the time you need to leave the train and reach the car.

Choosing a return

Agree a separate approximate collection, reserve the driver to wait under agreed chargeable terms, or contact us when ready for a car subject to availability. A separate return does not automatically retain the outward car.

STATION ACCESS

Agree a workable meeting point

National Rail lists Kingston as a category A accessible station, but the entrance or exit you can reach still matters. Tell the office about limited walking, steps, luggage or other access needs so we can discuss a practical approach.

The station address identifies the site, not a reserved private-hire stopping place. A landmark can help you find one another, but it does not give permission to enter or wait there. The office and passenger agree a lawful meeting point.

GOOD TO KNOW

Kingston station transfer questions

Practical answers for booking, meeting your driver and planning your train journey.

What should I include when asking for a Kingston station transfer?

Give the office your addresses, travel date and time, passenger and luggage details, and whether you need a station drop-off or collection. For a train collection, include the service origin, scheduled arrival and expected exit; for a departure, give your train time and the time you want to reach the station.

Mention any return, stops, vehicle preference or assistance needs. For extra luggage, ask about an estate; for a group, ask about a six-passenger vehicle or enquire about seven- or eight-plus passenger options. Passenger numbers and luggage need to be considered together. Your quote reflects your journey, vehicle and agreed extras. An enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car: KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email.

Can the driver collect me from any station entrance?

Not necessarily. Tell the office which exit you expect to use and agree a lawful, practical meeting point; a rank or bay is not automatically available for a pre-booked private-hire collection. If the approach is unsuitable or inaccessible, discuss an alternative with the office.

What if my train is delayed?

Contact the office with your new expected arrival or changed exit as soon as you can. A request or acknowledgement of receipt is not acceptance of a change: wait for the office to accept and confirm the revised plan and any charge. If a time-critical message has not been confirmed, call the office.

Automatic train monitoring is not promised. For a separate return, let the office know if your ready time changes; waiting or revised arrangements may affect the cost.

Can you help if I cannot walk far?

Yes. Tell the office about your walking tolerance, steps, entry needs, bags and any accompanying carer so a suitable arrangement can be discussed. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are available without charge. Let the office know in advance so suitable help can be arranged.

An escort inside a building is assessed separately and any cost agreed for the task. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles; a folding wheelchair can travel as luggage where suitable.

Does the transfer include train tickets or station assistance?

No. Arrange rail tickets and railway Passenger Assist separately with the rail provider. KB can discuss help to and from the car, while any escort inside the station is assessed separately.
