Embarkation: work back from check-in
Share the terminal check-in deadline as well as the sailing time. The office can discuss a pickup from your home or hotel with a suitable margin for the journey.
CRUISE & FERRY PASSENGER TRAVEL
Arrange a private-hire transfer around your sailing, with help from our 24-hour office. Contact us for a quote based on your journey and vehicle needs.
YOUR DOVER JOURNEY
KB Cars arranges passenger transfers to and from Dover’s UK cruise and ferry terminals. Home, hotel, airport and port legs can be arranged separately. The car takes you to or from the UK terminal; it does not cross the Channel.
For a cruise, check the ship’s terminal against the cruise schedule. Dover cruise guidance permits terminal drop-off but says there are no waiting areas in the port. Agree your collection and any waiting plan with our office. For ferry travel, ask the office about the meeting and waiting arrangements for your terminal.
TIMING & MEETING
A practical outward and return plan starts with three decisions.
Share the terminal check-in deadline as well as the sailing time. The office can discuss a pickup from your home or hotel with a suitable margin for the journey.
Ship arrival is not the time you will necessarily be ready to leave. Use the operator’s information to estimate a realistic passenger-ready time and agree your return plan.
The office will agree a lawful meeting point and a contact fallback with you. Tell us about walking or access needs so we can discuss an alternative if a proposed point is unsuitable.
PLAN YOUR ENQUIRY
Tell the office whether you are travelling by cruise or ferry, your operator or ship, sailing date, actual terminal, direction, addresses and timings. Include your return plans, a contact method you can use on the day and any stops or assistance you need. KB Cars is registered with the ICO. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.
Tell us how many passengers are travelling and the number and size of suitcases and cabin bags, plus any pushchairs, folded wheelchair or unusual items. An estate may suit extra luggage; a six-passenger vehicle is a group option, with luggage considered alongside passengers. Ask the office about seven- or eight-plus passenger vehicles. We will confirm a suitable arrangement rather than assume a cruise luggage allowance fits the car.
The quote reflects the addresses, direction, date and time, vehicle and agreed extras. Waiting and any parking, toll or access costs should be agreed separately; prepayment may be requested for a collection outside London or a special arrangement.
GOOD TO KNOW
Answers for your outward journey and collection after sailing.
No. KB Cars arranges the passenger transfer to or from the Dover UK terminal; the car does not cross the Channel.
Work back from the terminal check-in deadline, not the sailing time alone. Give the office your collection address, date and sailing details so we can discuss the pickup time.
An enquiry, quote or payment alone is not a confirmed booking. KB confirms a booking by SMS and/or email.
Contact the office with your updated passenger-ready time and ask to agree the revised collection. Ship and sailing checks are available by enquiry, not automatic flight-style tracking.
The booker or authorised contact should request a material change. Acknowledgment of the request is not acceptance: confirm the revised plan and any change in charge with the office. If a time-critical message has not been acknowledged, call the office.
Yes. We can arrange guidance to the car and loading of ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair without charge. Tell the office about walking limits, entry needs, bags, pushchairs or a folded wheelchair when arranging your journey so suitable help can be coordinated.
This is separate from cruise-line terminal assistance or clinical care. KB does not currently offer wheelchair-accessible vehicles for travel seated in a wheelchair.
