SOUTHAMPTON PORT TRANSFERS

Southampton cruise and ferry port transfers To or from your terminal

Pre-book your passenger journey with our 24-hour office. Get a quote based on your route, timing, vehicle and agreed extras, and make a clear plan for your sailing or return.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT TERMINAL

Choose the right terminal for your sailing

KB Cars arranges pre-booked passenger transfers to and from Southampton cruise and ferry terminals, including journeys from London, home, a hotel or an airport. P&O’s Southampton guidance refers to Mayflower and Ocean, but that is specific to the line, not a complete port directory. Check your actual terminal with your operator.

The check-in deadline matters when planning your outward journey; on return, the ship’s arrival time is not the same as the time you will be ready to leave. Our office can help agree the journey and a lawful, accessible meeting point.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Plan the journey around your sailing

These details help the office agree a practical departure or collection plan.

Check-in deadline and sailing time

Share the operator’s check-in deadline as well as the sailing time. The two are different: the deadline helps us discuss when to leave your pickup address for the agreed terminal.

Passenger-ready time after arrival

For a return, give the ship’s arrival information and a realistic time when you expect to be ready with your luggage. If disembarkation is delayed, contact the office to agree a revised collection.

Meeting point and contact fallback

Agree an accessible, lawful meeting point and a reachable contact method with the office. If you and the driver cannot find each other, call our controllers for help.

DETAILS TO AGREE

Choose a vehicle and prepare your journey

Give the office your full collection and destination addresses, date and time, operator or ship, sailing details and actual terminal. For a hotel pickup, name the hotel or give its full address rather than just saying ‘near the port’. Let us know if you need a return or any stops.

Tell us the number of passengers and the counts and sizes of suitcases and cabin bags, plus any pushchair, folding wheelchair or unusual item. An estate can be discussed for extra luggage; a six-passenger vehicle is available for groups, with luggage considered alongside passenger numbers. Ask the office about seven- or eight-plus-passenger vehicles.

Tell us about limited walking, entry needs or other assistance. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair can be arranged without charge; let the office know in advance so suitable help can be coordinated. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

GOOD TO KNOW

Southampton port transfer questions

Answers to practical questions about your cruise or ferry transfer.

Can I travel from London, a hotel or an airport to Southampton port?

Yes. The office can arrange your passenger journey to or from the terminal, including a London pickup or drop-off, or a leg from a hotel, home or airport. Give us the full address and say whether you also need a separate return.

What if I do not know when I will be ready after the ship arrives?

You have three choices: contact KB when ready, reserve the driver to wait, or agree an approximate return as a separate booking. A car arranged when you are ready is subject to availability, not guaranteed immediate collection.

Reserved waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms. If you have a separate return and are delayed, contact the office; waiting or changes may affect the cost. A separate booking does not automatically retain the outward driver or the same vehicle.

Can the driver meet me inside the port?

That depends on where the driver can lawfully meet you. The office will agree an accessible meeting point with you; requesting a place does not itself give the driver port access. If you have difficulty reaching a proposed point, discuss a workable alternative with us.

Cruise-line terminal assistance is separate from the driver’s ordinary guidance to the car and loading of ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair.

What if the terminal or return details change?

The booker or an authorised contact should tell the office as soon as possible, including the revised terminal, time, address or passenger details. A material change is not confirmed until the office accepts it and sends confirmation; a revised journey may change the quote.

For a time-critical change, make sure the office acknowledges your request. If a message has not been acknowledged, call the office.
