CRUISE & FERRY TRANSFERS

Tilbury port transfers To or from your terminal

Pre-book your road journey around your sailing. Our 24-hour office can agree the timing and vehicle and quote for your addresses, date and requirements.

YOUR TILBURY JOURNEY

A private-hire transfer around your sailing

Travel from home, a hotel, airport or another agreed address to your Tilbury cruise or ferry terminal, or book a collection from the terminal after your trip. These are road transfers to and from the UK terminal; the car does not travel on the ship or across the Channel.

Choose a vehicle for your passengers and luggage together. Ask about an estate for extra luggage, a six-passenger vehicle for a group, or a seven- or eight-plus-passenger vehicle through the office. Tell us about suitcase sizes, cabin bags and any bulky or folding equipment so we can agree a suitable arrangement.

PLAN THE TIMING

Make the transfer fit the port timetable

The right collection time depends on whether you are boarding or returning from a sailing.

Embarkation: work back from check-in

Share your operator’s check-in deadline, not just the sailing time. The office can discuss a practical departure plan for your pickup address and date.

Disembarkation: plan for ready time

Ship arrival is not the same as being ready to leave the terminal. Use your operator’s disembarkation guidance to agree a realistic passenger-ready time for collection.

Meeting point: agree a fallback

Agree a lawful, accessible meeting point and a way to contact each other with the office. If you are delayed or the terminal changes, ask the office to review the collection. Acknowledgment of your request is not acceptance: wait for confirmation of the revised arrangement and any changed charge.

TILBURY TERMINAL DETAIL

Use the right terminal approach

Give us the terminal name and address from your cruise or ferry operator and say whether you need a drop-off or pickup. For London International Cruise Terminal, the operator lists RM18 7NG and distinguishes the cruise-terminal approach from the main port entrance. This matters when agreeing the destination and a lawful meeting point.

To plan and quote your journey, share your operator or ship, sailing date, exact addresses, check-in deadline or expected ready time, passenger count, luggage and a reachable contact. Include any stops, return plans, vehicle preferences or assistance needs. KB Cars is registered with the ICO. Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about Tilbury port transfers

Compare your return and assistance options before you travel.

What if I do not know my disembarkation time?

You can choose how to arrange the return with the office. Contact us when you are ready, reserve a driver to wait, or book a separate approximate pickup and contact us if you are delayed. A car arranged when you are ready is subject to availability, with no guarantee of immediate collection. Reserved waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms; waiting or changes can also affect the cost of an approximate return. A separate return does not automatically retain the outward driver or vehicle.

Can I use the main port entrance as my meeting point?

Only if the office accepts it as a lawful, workable point for your journey. The cruise-terminal approach and main port entrance are distinct; suggesting a point does not give a car access. Tell us if the proposed meeting point is difficult for you to reach so we can discuss an accessible alternative.

Will KB track my ship or sailing?

Ship and sailing checks are handled by enquiry, not automatic flight-style tracking. Give the office your sailing details and contact us if your terminal or arrival plan changes. Request a revised collection and wait for the office to confirm its acceptance and any revised charge; receipt of a request alone is not acceptance.

Can you help with bags or limited walking?

Yes. We can arrange guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair without charge. Tell the office about your walking tolerance, entry needs, bags, carer and any equipment so suitable help can be coordinated; advance notice does not remove any required disability assistance.

Cruise-line terminal assistance and clinical care are separate. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folding wheelchair travels as luggage where suitable, not with a passenger seated in it. An additional escort inside a building can be discussed separately, including any agreed cost.
