London to Cambridge long-distance transfers or Cambridge to London

Pre-book private hire to an exact Cambridge address or back to London. Our 24-hour office will quote for your route, vehicle and agreed extras, and help you plan a return.

TRAVEL YOUR WAY

A Cambridge journey planned around your day

Travel between London and Cambridge for business, family, university, hotel or leisure visits. Choose a one-way journey or discuss a return; you can book from Cambridge to London without having travelled outward with KB Cars.

Your quote reflects the actual addresses and direction, date and time, vehicle and agreed extras. The office can discuss stops, practical help and a return that suits your plans. Prepayment may be requested for a collection outside London.

CHOOSE YOUR ARRANGEMENT

Make the journey work for you

Choose the destination, return and vehicle to suit your day.

Your Cambridge endpoint

Travel to a home, hotel, workplace, university building or venue. Give us the exact address and entrance you need, rather than just the city or station name.

One way, return or waiting

Arrange a planned return, book a separate pickup later or reserve the driver to wait during an appointment. Waiting is chargeable under agreed terms; a separate return does not automatically retain the outward car.

Vehicle, stops and passengers

Ask about a saloon, an estate for extra luggage or a six-passenger vehicle; seven- and eight-plus-passenger vehicles can be discussed with the office. Passenger numbers and luggage need to be considered together. Tell us how many suitcases and cabin bags you have and their sizes, along with any pushchairs, folding wheelchairs, extra addresses or walking and vehicle needs, so we can agree a suitable arrangement.

Comparing rail or coach? Compare the whole journey, including the station or coach endpoint, the final address, luggage and walking. Rail and coach prices are separate from your private-hire quote.

GET THE ENDPOINT RIGHT

Cambridge station or Cambridge North?

If your trip includes rail, specify Cambridge station or Cambridge North: they are different locations. Give the onward address or agreed meeting point too. A station name alone does not establish access to a private-hire bay or rank; the office will agree a lawful collection or drop-off point with you.

For a longer day, discuss comfort stops, extra addresses and your return with the office. Where a long duty needs breaks, a replacement driver or an overnight arrangement, these can be planned as part of the booking.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about Cambridge long-distance travel

Practical answers about destinations, returns and passenger needs.

Can you take me to a Cambridge address rather than the station?

Yes. We arrange travel to the exact Cambridge address you provide, whether it is a home, hotel, workplace, university building or venue. If connecting with rail, identify Cambridge station or Cambridge North and give the onward address or meeting point. The office will agree a lawful collection or drop-off point.

What if I do not know when I will return?

You can contact the office when ready, reserve the driver to wait, or agree a separate approximate return. A car booked when you are ready is subject to availability; waiting is chargeable under agreed terms. A separate return does not automatically retain the outward car, and if you are delayed, contact the office as waiting or changes may affect the cost.

What should I include in my Cambridge journey enquiry?

Give us the collection and destination addresses, date and time, passenger numbers, luggage and any extra stops. Include relevant train or venue details, vehicle preferences, assistance needs and your return plan. The office assesses your enquiry and quotes for the arrangement; an enquiry, quote or payment alone is not a confirmed booking. KB confirms the booking by SMS and/or email.

Can you help with walking, luggage or a child seat?

Yes. Tell the office about walking or entry needs, bags, a folding wheelchair or an accompanying carer so suitable help can be arranged. An accompanying carer occupies a passenger seat. Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are available without charge; let us know in advance so we can arrange suitable help. Inside-building escorting is assessed separately, with any charge agreed; KB does not have wheelchair-accessible vehicles.

You can bring your own suitable child seat or ask the office to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability. Give the relevant child and seat details. Please also disclose any pet so the office can discuss a suitable arrangement.
