A 24-hour office for your plans

A car for local journeys and connections

KB Cars arranges pre-booked journeys to and from Kew for appointments, shopping, work, visits and evenings out, as well as airport and station trips. Our office can agree extra stops, a vehicle request and a return plan. Short-notice enquiries are welcome, subject to availability.

Your quote reflects the actual addresses, direction, date and time, vehicle and agreed extras, rather than a postcode alone. Tell us your collection and destination addresses, timing, passenger numbers and luggage, plus any relevant flight or train details, stops or assistance needs. KB Cars is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information. An enquiry, quote or payment attempt alone is not a confirmed booking: the office confirms acceptance by SMS and/or email.

Contact the office by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp; there is no need to install an app. Calls answered in under 30 seconds on average.

Make the journey work for you

Local trips, connections and returns

Choose a straightforward local trip, a connection or a return that suits your plans.

Local journeys in and around Kew

Travel to an appointment, the shops, work or an evening out. We can discuss extra stops and agree a practical, lawful collection point.

Airport and station transfers

Travel to or from an airport or station. Give the office your flight or train details and the terminal or station entrance where relevant, so the journey and meeting point can be planned.

Planned returns and waiting

For an uncertain finish time, choose between contacting us when ready, reserving a driver to wait or arranging an approximate separate return. The office can explain availability and applicable charges.

Useful local detail

Choose the right gate or station

For Kew Gardens, tell us which ticketed gate you are using: Victoria, Elizabeth, Brentford or Lion. They have different entry and vehicle functions, and the venue says it has no luggage storage. Check your gate and access on the day, particularly if you are connecting with a flight or train.

For rail travel, name the station and discuss the meeting point. North Sheen is on Manor Road, Richmond, and has no step-free platform access. Mortlake is listed as step-free to all platforms, although routes may involve long or steep ramps or streets. Tell us about walking needs and bags so we can agree a workable collection point; a station or venue entrance does not itself give a private-hire vehicle permission to stop or park.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about Kew journeys

Plan the collection, vehicle and return that suit your journey.

Can you collect me at Kew Gardens?

Yes, contact the office to arrange a suitable, lawful collection point for your chosen gate. Let us know about luggage or an onward connection; a visitor entrance is not permission for a private-hire car to stop or wait there.

What if I do not know when my appointment will finish?

You have three choices: contact the office when ready, reserve a driver to wait, or arrange an approximate separate return. A car booked when ready is subject to availability, not guaranteed for immediate collection. Reserved waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms. A separate return does not keep the outward car; contact the office if delayed, as waiting or changes may affect the cost.

How should I describe luggage or walking support?

The office can help choose a suitable vehicle for your passengers and luggage. Give passenger numbers and the counts and sizes of suitcases and cabin bags, along with any pushchair or folded wheelchair. An estate can be requested for extra luggage; six-passenger vehicles are offered around the clock, and you can ask the office about seven- or eight-plus-passenger vehicles. Passengers and luggage must be considered together, and availability and suitability confirmed.

Guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free; telling the office in advance helps arrange suitable assistance. Describe limited walking or entry needs so a workable meeting point can be agreed. An additional escort inside a building can be discussed separately, including any agreed charge. Required disability assistance is not subject to a prohibited surcharge or removed by a lack of advance notice. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles for travel seated in a wheelchair.

Can you arrange a child seat or travel with a pet?

Yes. Bring your own suitable child seat or ask the office to arrange one in advance. Give the child's relevant age, height, weight and seat needs so availability, suitability and any charge can be confirmed.

Declare an ordinary pet when booking so the office can discuss a suitable vehicle and driver. Extra charges may apply; animals in carriers usually have no extra charge. Assistance dogs are subject to separate applicable duties and exemptions.
