A car for your plans

Choose the right journey and vehicle

KB Cars arranges pre-booked private-hire journeys to and from Mitcham, including local trips, family visits and station or airport transfers. Ask about a saloon for an everyday journey, an estate for extra luggage or a group vehicle. We offer a six-passenger option around the clock; ask the office about seven or more passengers or a bespoke arrangement.

Your quote reflects the addresses, direction, date and time, vehicle and agreed extras. The office can discuss extra stops and returns, including waiting, and explain applicable charges before the booking is accepted.

Choose the arrangement

From everyday trips to onward travel

Our office can help plan the pickup and the journey that follows.

Local pickups and drop-offs

Arrange a car for home, work, shopping, an appointment or an evening out. Give the full address and the entrance or meeting point that matters; if a closure or private access affects the approach, the office can discuss a practical alternative.

Stations and airports

Arrange a transfer to or from a station or airport. Name the station or terminal and give your train or flight details so the office can discuss the pickup and timing. You can also agree a return or waiting arrangement. KB Cars is registered with the ICO; our Privacy Notice explains how we handle your booking information.

Groups, children and assistance

Tell the office about your group, seating, luggage and any help needed so it can arrange a suitable vehicle. You can bring a suitable child seat or ask KB to arrange one in advance, subject to availability and suitability. Please also declare pets; extra charges may apply to ordinary pets. Assistance dogs are treated separately.

Useful local detail

Choose the right station or meeting point

Mitcham Eastfields and Mitcham Junction are different stations: Eastfields is on Eastfields Road and Junction is on Carshalton Road. Name the station and the entrance you expect to use rather than relying on “Mitcham station” alone.

For Canons on Madeira Road, agree whether to meet at the house, the leisure-centre shared car park or another point. Pedestrian approaches include Cricket Green, Madeira Road and Commonside West, and the step-free side entrance differs from the main house entrance. Tell the office about any mobility needs; venue parking does not itself give a driver permission to wait.

GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about Mitcham journeys

Practical answers on pickups, vehicles, returns and confirmation.

How do I make a Mitcham pickup easy to find?

Give the full address and a useful entrance or meeting point. Drivers must stop safely and lawfully, so keep your phone available if a closure or private access changes the approach. Share gate codes and restricted access details with the office, not in a public note. If you cannot walk to a revised point, tell the office so you can discuss a workable alternative.

Can I choose how an appointment or airport return works?

Yes. You can contact the office when you are ready for a car, subject to availability; reserve a driver to wait; or agree a separate approximate return. Waiting is chargeable under the agreed terms. If a separate return is delayed, contact the office; waiting or changes may affect the cost. A separate return does not retain the outward driver or automatically secure the same car.

What should I tell you about passengers and luggage?

Give the passenger count and the number and sizes of bags, including pushchairs or folded wheelchairs, as well as seating or entry needs. The office considers people and luggage together when discussing a saloon, estate or group vehicle; an accompanying carer needs a seat too.

When arranged in advance, guidance to the car and loading ordinary bags or a folding wheelchair are free. Tell the office what help you need so it can arrange a suitable driver; this does not limit assistance required by law. An additional escort inside a building is assessed separately, with any charge agreed. KB does not currently have wheelchair-accessible vehicles, so a folding chair carried as luggage does not provide travel seated in it.

How do I know the journey is confirmed?

Your booking is accepted when KB sends confirmation by SMS and/or email. An enquiry, quote or payment alone does not confirm a car.

If the booker or authorised contact needs to change a time, stop, passenger, vehicle or destination, contact the office. Acknowledgment of a request is not acceptance: wait for confirmation of the accepted change and any revised charge. For a time-critical change, call the office if your message has not been acknowledged.
